Or do you enjoy a brisk walk each morning or at least when you can get out? Where you are never too far from support should the weather turn bad or your feet not want to go as far as your mind wants? And want to enjoy a walk in the wilderness without anything more than a camera?

Then you are a GEOQWEST WILDERNESS WALKER! Add a new dimension to your healthy pastime with a walk through one of the many forested route GeoQwest has choosen for a Walking Safari.

You don't have to be a star athlete. Just an ability to walk at your own pace along forest routes enjoying the scenery and flora at your leisure, knowing our support vehicle is behind you at all times.

Unlike hiking on often challenging routes and remote trails, our walking safaris follow little used forestry tracks through the lakes, creeks and mountains districts of the Okanagan. Our fully equipped safari vehicle follows your group so unlike hiking, a GeoQwest Walking safari allows you at any time to hop on board for a rest, refreshment or to escape inclimate weather should it come. Try that on a typical unsupported hike!

GeoQwest's knowledge of the backcountry routes of BC give a unique insight into scenic routes perfect for secluded walking. We've selected a number of tracks through the Okanagan Highlands and Pennask Plateau that maximise wilderness scenery while giving you the serenity of walking in the forests. These are not simply rural roadways but are true wilderness roads through the forests areas, grasslands and lake regions of some of the most scenic areas of the Okanagan region.

You will be provided a 2 way radio for communication with the truck that will follow well behind to give you for a full wilderness experience yet is close enough for your security and convenience.

This trip is completely flexible as to route and duration. In addition, if you group is made up of a mix of abilites, some may choose to ride in the "Sag Wagon" while the Keeners press on.

These safari routes are chosen to maximise your wilderness walking experience and not tax your physical ability. Some routes are chosen for their gentle downhill grade where gravity is your helping friend.
