Indian paintbrush, arrowleaf balsam root, columbine, wild rose, grouse chicks, deer fawns and black bear cubs...all are a part of GeoQwest Spring Safaris!
Buds appear on the trees and the evergreen sprout fresh tips at the end of their branches and the air is fresh with the aroma of renewal. Wildlife spotting is at it's best in the
spring as the animals are bold in browsing after a long winter and the branches have yet to grow their veils of leaves.Torrents of water cascade from rockfaces that are
normally dry and rivers show their unbridled power.

There is a buzz in the mountains in spring unmatched by any other season. The dust of summer has yet to appear and days slowly grow longer.
Spring gives the traveler the opportunity to see nature in it's regenerative best.
The wildlife can be found lower on the hillsides as they escape the snowbound peaks to feast on the fresh grasses and brush.

Our safaris follow the retreating snow into the mountains. Each week gives added opportunity to access higher ground and watch the miracle of regrowth that spring
creates. Sometimes we try a little too hard and end up at the end of the winch cable!
Avoid the rush and crowds of summer for the best in wilderness touring with a GeoQwest Spring Safari.
