
The Pennask Plateau has long been a region of wilderness recreation. It is an area with a long history of forest harvest resulting in a myriad of
roadways, many no longer maintained.
These routes provide the ultimate in seeking out the abundant wildlife of the area. Bull moose, bobcat, grizzly and black bears, raptors and song birds,mule deer and every other species of
animal typical of southern BC is here. This also includes a herd of California Bighorn Sheep recently transplanted into the Shorts Creek Canyon.
