For the first 5 years of operating as a formal tour company, GeoQwest attempted to satisfy all requirements of Canada's regulatory bodies in becoming British Columbia's only fully licenced full time Overland Safari Company.

But the time, cost and bureacracy of British Columbia's travel, tourism and insurance industries has made that effort costly and restrictive. Our efforts to comply with all the regulations simply put GeoQwest at a cost and service deficit to unlicensed operators and other tourism attractions.

GeoQwest now derives most of its income as a geological and exploration services consulting company with contract work in Canada, Alaska, Chile and Mexico. With wilderness adventure now a part time service, we cannot justify the costs required to be a formal tour company.
