British Columbia Off Pavement Safari Touring

GeoQwest Excursions was formed in 2002 as a off pavement touring company specialising in BC Mining Heritage and wildlife touring. The drop in travel and tourism because of 9/11, huge hikes in insurance premiums, high fuel prices, BC forest closures, forest fires, strengthening Canadian dollar and ongoing restrictive insurance and government regulations made the touring component of GeoQwest unsustainable.

We will continue to offer wilderness travel to the public but not as a formal tour company. (Read more...) Instead, consider all our trips as wilderness, geological and landscape consulting. The safari concept remains the same but for reasons of licencing and insurance, we must remain an exploration services consulting company rather than a formal tour company.
