British Columbia's Overland Safari Specialists Wilderness Fishing Safaris Add fishing to a tour at any number of remote mountain lakes
After years of being asked by clients for fishing to be added to the GeoQwest inventory...we've finally done it!
Our passion still remains wilderness touring and 'eduventure' in teaching our clients about the backcountry. If you wish to have a fishing trip exclusively, GeoQwest will be pleased to direct you to local guides who specialize in fishing trips.
However, if you would like to combine a wilderness safari with wetting a line at a number of lakes we pass, then this trip is for you.
The routes chosen for these trips varies based on weather, fishing closures and the type of terrain you would like to travel. For those in the party who may not be interested in fishing,
gold panning, nature walks and
British Columbia fishing licences are required by all participants prior to departure. Rod/tackle rental available for $20 day additional. |
Over the years of backcountry touring, GeoQwest has talked with local anglers and have learned the secret spots and techniques for catching rainbows,
lake trout, brook trout and dolly varden. Many of the lakes we access are possible only with the capability of our specially equipped 4x4. The reward, beyond the
fishing is the peace and solitude of being on an isolated lake or creek, completely alone with nature. Even if the fish aren't biting, your day in the quiet wilderness will leave
you with memories for a lifetime.
