This tour adds a unique dimension to your cycling experience with routes through the scenery of British Columbia's backcountry wilderness.
GeoQwest's knowledge of the backcountry routes of BC give a unique insight into scenic routes perfect for off pavement cycling.
We've selected a number of tracks through the Okanagan Highlands and Pennask Plateau that maximise wilderness scenery while giving you the serenity of cycling in
the forests. These are not simply rural roads but are true wilderness roads through the forests, grasslands and lake regions of some of the most scenic areas of the
Okanagan region. Chances of encountering wildlife at every corner are high while you glide along in silence.
At the same time, you'll enjoy the security of the support of our luxury 4x4 should you need a break, refreshment or sanctuary from the elements. You will be provided a 2 way radio for
communication with the truck that will follow well behind to give you for a full wilderness experience yet is close enough for your safety and convenience. Ride the wilderness on an
an bicycle unencumbered with gear yet being able to enjoy a full campfire lunch.
These trip are completely flexible as to route and duration. In addition, if you group is made up of a mix of abilites, some may choose to ride in the "Sag Wagon" while the
Keeners press on.
Not intended as an extreme trip of any kind, the routes chosen are done so to maximise your wilderness experience and not tax your riding ability. Some routes are
chosen for their gentle downhill grade where is gravity is your helping friend.
