And one of the best way to see much of it is from the comfort of your own SUV Now... add the security and support of traveling with GeoQwest's guide vehicle. GeoQwest Excursions Ltd. would like to guide you through some of the best scenery in the central Okanagan by providing you professional caliber wilderness touring from the comfort of your own SUV. From geological history to landscape and cultural interpretation, this safari will teach you the natural and cultural highlights of our region while you enjoy the comfort and independent freedom provided by driving your own SUV. At the same time, the mild to moderate 4x4 routes are chosen to allow newcomers to off-pavement travel an opportunity to explore their vehicles capacities with basics of off pavement driving principles that will enrich your ownership of your SUV and add a new dimension to your lifestyle. From mini-SUVs to Full size pickups, this trip will take you through areas best accessed with your vehicle's 4x4 ability. These safaris are designed to enrich your wilderness experiences made possible by the abilities of your four wheel drive vehicle. And the landscape, geology and cultural interpretation provided by your GeoQwest guide will add significantly to your BC wilderness knowledge and awareness. Two way radios are provided in your vehicle that allows constant communication with the GeoQwest guide vehicle. The GeoQwest vehicle is also equipped with logging truck frequencies to guide the convoy on active logging roads. A number of stops will include dialogue both on the landscape of the area as well as guidance on specific 4x4 driving issues found on the route. You will learn of the advantages of ground clearance, vehicle control on soft ground, the benefits of low range in climbing and descending, creek fording and other 4x4 basics. For those interested, safe self-rescue winching techniques will also be included. Your full day safari will include a stop at a wilderness picnic site where (conditions permitting) a campfire will add just the right atmosphere to your picnic lunch.

Please keep in mind, the GeoQwest vehicle travels these routes routinely. If they where in any way damaging to the vehicle, GeoQwest would be bankrupted by repairs by now. So don't worry!  |
* In addition to our standard Waiver of Liability, clients will also need to accept that GeoQwest cannot be held responsible for damage to your vehicle arising from this safari. GeoQwest requests that only vehicles in above average condition participate. Tires must have > 40% tread. GeoQwest will attempt to travel routes that match the capacity of the accompanying vehicles. Hummer owners: the H1 width is incompatible with most of our routes.
