7 Days of British Columbia
Forget your plans for another predictable vacation this year and discover your hidden sense of adventure in visiting South-Central British Columbia's
true nature.
7 Days of British Columbia
is guided around the
following itinerary. Don't watch the clock or expect every turn to be planned. We follow opportunity, adventure and challenge your spirit of exploration daily.*
Day 1. Morning pick-up from Vancouver airport or area hotel. We travel northward through world famous Whistler Village. Leaving Whistler,
we head northward and upward into the spectacular coast mountains and the remains of the Pioneer gold mine, the almost ghost town of Bralorne and
spectacular vistas of Carpenter Lake. Overnight in the small town of Lillooett on the reconstruction of the turn of the century Victoria Hotel.
Day 2. Northward along the Fraser River, then over the top on the original Pavilion wagon trail. A climb to the top of Pavilion mountain for a
stunning view of the Marble Range. Then into the Chilcotin to cross the Fraser River on a one lane bridge. Overland past lakes, wildlife and ranches on
the Chilcotin Plateau to overnight at Chilko Lake Resort.
Day 3. A day of adventure at Chilko Lake Resort. Get your land legs back with relaxation in the stunning setting of Chilko Lake and Coast
Mountains. For those looking for a bit more action, adventure awaits ranging from fishing to rafting to heli-hiking.
Day 4. Native towns of the Chilcotin Plateau. Westside of the Fraser to Quesnel and onto Wells/ Barkerville. This restored gold town,
although a bit of a tourist trap, offers a theme history that is a good base for the rest of our tour into the real gold and silver backcountry. Our route passes
the outskirts of 3 provincial parks to our overnight at the Cariboo Country Inn in Horsefly. The Cariboo Country Inn is a working family ranch. Don't be surprised
if you are asked to do morning chores!
Day 5. Southward into the lakes of the Cariboo Mountains. As a cottage and resort haven, our route travels the lesser know roads for spectacular
landscape and wildlife photo opportunities. Overnight at Douglas Lake Ranch, Canada's largest working cattle ranch or the famous Quilchena Inn, a former
Stage Coach house.
Day 6. Southward into the historic Tulameen, Grizzly bear habitat and sections of the historic Kettle Valley Railway. Northward to the largest operating
copper mine in Canada, ranchlands of Hat Creek to overnight in Lillooet at the Victoria Hotel.
Day 7. A route into the mountains that maximizes the mountain scenery and a road to Vancouver along Harrison Lake taken by few travelers. I
nto Vancouver through the suburbs of the north side of the Fraser River. The end of your trip comes with delivery to your hotel in Vancouver.
